Simple approach
Use free-wall strain when the septum is affected by left-heart disease, bundle branch block, or pressure interaction. Use global RV strain when the report wants one combined deformation number.

RV strain depends on tracking quality, frame rate, and correct region placement. Review the tracking overlay before accepting imported values. Free-wall strain is often preferred for RV-specific deformation because septal motion can be influenced by LV mechanics and ventricular interdependence.
