One Heart at a Time
At MediRapp, we are transforming the global ultrasound diagnostics market with AI/ML powered digital solutions.
Join Our TeamOur story
The idea for MediRapp and our product EchoRapp originally came from founder Dr. Schlomo Aschkenasy, a distinguished cardiologist based in Zurich. Experiencing the time-consuming and highly manual nature of echocardiography, he realized the potential for digitalization to greatly benefit this field. He recognized that the know-how intensive nature of cardiology, combined with the need to 1) manually measure and review growing volumes of diagnostic data while 2) tracking and applying frequently changing guidelines, increased the risk of errors in the interpretive workflow of heart echos.
Dr. Aschkenasy began developing a software solution about nine years ago to streamline, automate and improve the quality of the echocardiography process. Having worked as a professional programmer before and maintained these skills, he started to develop software for himself. Over time, the software was continuously improved and developed into what is now EchoRapp. To date, EchoRapp has one of the most rigorous solutions to apply evidence-based diagnostic criteria from international cardiology guidelines and peer-reviewed studies. Dr. Aschkenasy and the team at MediRapp are now committed to making high-quality echocardiography accessible to every cardiologist and transforming care for patients everywhere by supporting cardiologists with EchoRapp in their daily practice.
