RV-PA coupling combines TAPSE/PASP ratio and RVOT timing markers to contextualize RV performance under pulmonary load.

Simple approach
Use TAPSE/PASP as a compact coupling marker when pulmonary pressure has been estimated. Add RVOT acceleration time and ejection time when pulmonary hemodynamics are part of the question.

RV-PA coupling describes how well RV contractile shortening matches afterload. TAPSE/PASP uses a longitudinal function marker and the estimated pulmonary systolic pressure. RVOT acceleration time and ejection time are Doppler timing markers that can support the hemodynamic picture.

Warning
Coupling measures inherit uncertainty from both RV function and pressure estimates. Do not over-read them when TR velocity, RAP, or TAPSE quality is poor.
