Pulmonary annulus

Measure the pulmonary annulus in PSAX or long-axis views at the cusp hinge points, typically in systole.

Simple approach

Measure the annulus diameter at the cusp insertion points and report it with the same method used for the study series.

Detailed tutorial

The pulmonary annulus is a morphology measurement. It helps describe congenital or post-intervention anatomy and provides context for stenosis, regurgitation, or prosthesis planning.

Use a zoomed view, avoid oblique cuts, and compare with prior studies when valve morphology or RVOT geometry has changed.
